RESPONSIBLE SERVICE OF ALCOHOL
RESPONSIBLE SERVICE OF ALCOHOL (RSA)
SITHFAB002 – Provide responsible service of alcohol
This is mandatory training for people wanting to work with alcohol in the hospitality industry (where alcohol is either served or sold). It is also applicable to security staff who monitor patron behaviour and to the licensee who is ultimately responsible for Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) management. The course is approved by the Liquor and Gaming NSW and nationally accredited. It is strongly advised to also complete RCG (Responsible Conduct of Gambling) to have both licences appear on the one photo competency card.
For courses that are WorkCover aligned participants are required to provide full proof of identity in the form of photo ID and other identification. Please confirm on enrolment.
Once assessment is completed RSA and/or RCG participants will be issued with an Interim RSA Certificate and/or an Interim RCG Certificate from Liquor & Gaming NSW (OLGR) and this will permit you to work for up to 90 days in NSW. During the Interim RSA and/or RCG Certificate validity (i.e. before it expires) you must apply for a photo competency card at a NSW Government Service Centre for Proof of Identity check service.
