Would you like to learn more about rainforest conservation and regeneration and how to grow your own rainforest trees? Are you in the business of ecological restoration, rainforest propagation or environmental education? Have you ever wondered what has happened to the local Big Scrub?
This informative workshop with local rainforest regeneration specialist and owner of Firewheel Rainforest Nursery, Mark Dunphy will provide you with quality vegetation management advice and expertise, and how to successfully design, implement and maintain major revegetation projects.
NCCC, in collaboration with the Department of Primary Industries has provided a newly refurbished training facility and 2.5 acres of land for students of the new program, which will be used to farm indigenous bush foods.
This non-accredited training is a great introduction to our AHC31416 Certificate III in Conservation and Land Management Course.
Excitingly, and unique to this collaboration and this area, is a nearby Big Scrub rainforest remnant. On this land, students will gain practical knowledge and skills in Indigenous land management, forest regeneration, land conservation and farming indigenous bush food.
