This Infection Control skill set has been developed in response to COVID 19 to upskill workers in various roles in the retail industry, including retail outlets, markets, supermarkets or in any situation where you are engaged in direct customer interactions across the retail sector
In this course, you will gain knowledge and skills in:
- hand hygiene practices
- effective surface cleaning
- use of personal protective equipment
- disposal of contaminated waste
- hazard identification, control and reporting
- appropriate industry protocols and responses in the event of an incident
- the basis of infection and transmission.
This online course allows you to undertake studies within your own timeframe. Once you have completed the online study component you will be required to book into a four-hour practical session where you will practice skills and undertake a workplace assessment.
A person must be at least 15 years of age to participate in the training.
