Course Description
Contaminated waste disposal, risk identification, incident response and infection and transmission knowledge, as well as appropriate protocols and responses in the event of an incident.
Upon completion of this course you will be uniquely prepared for various roles in the food handling and hospitality sectors and have a thorough, highly relevant and sought-after understanding of workplace procedures and best practises needed to decrease the risk of and transmission of infection.
In this course, you will gain knowledge and skills in:
- hand hygiene practices
- effective surface cleaning
- use of personal protective equipment
- disposal of contaminated waste
- hazard identification, control and reporting
- appropriate Industry protocols and responses in the event of an incident
- the basis of infection and transmission
This online course allows you to undertake studies within your own timeframe. Once you have completed the online study component you will be required to book into a four-hour practical session where you will practice skills and undertake a workplace assessment.
A person must be at least 15 years of age to participate in the training.
