What is a USI
A USI is an account or reference number made up of numbers and letters and is unique to each student. A students training records that have been entered into the national vocational and training (VET) data collection will be stored against this number and will enable a student’s training records to be linked for ease of access and the production of transcripts.
Your USI will keep your training records and results in an online account controlled by you. From 2015 onwards, each time you enroll to study in a nationally recognised qualification, your training records and results will be stored against your USI. You will then be able to access your training records and results (or transcript) whenever you need them. For example: for a new employer or when you enroll to study at a new training organisation.
Your USI can be accessed online from a computer, tablet or smart phone and gives you access to your training records and results at your fingertips.
